Main Display

Main Display

Last night I wired up a 128×64 pixel I2C OLED display to an Arduino Mega 2560 as a first step to building the user interface of the T90.

I made a splash screen of the Canon T-90 logos, followed by the main display.

The main advantage of the matrix display, compared with the original segmented LCD, is that multiple screens for different modes are possible. This prevents the display from getting too cluttered.

I copied the T-90 display as far as practical, but modernised it a little to suit the new device.

I’m looking forward to adding in full shutter functionality as a next step.
